Located in the North West coast of Ireland, close to the Irish Sea cruising routes and the Western Isles of Scotland, The Foyle Pontoon is situated on the River Foyle in the heart of the historic Walled City of Derry. Funded by the European Union Peace II Programme through the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, this facility is within walking distance of the city centre, where visitors will find restaurants, shopping, and much more. Visitors are requested to contact Harbour Radio on VHF Channel 14, which is open 24 hours and will direct you to stop at Londonderry Port’s Lisahally pontoon to collect access keys, welcome pack and pay berthing fees. Boats can berth at either side of the pontoon where there is adequate depth up to 7 meters on the outside and 5 meters inside at low water. Located at latitude 55 degrees 003.north and Longitude 007 degrees 19.2 west, the Foyle Pontoon is 17n miles from the mouth of Lough Foyle and provides secure berthing for leisure boats. It has shore power, fresh water and waste reception facilities. Access is for berth holders only and CCTV monitors the area.
