1. HALF DAY OPTIONS:
Downhill and Mussenden Temple
Mussenden Temple lies north east from Londonderry in one of Northern Ireland's unique National Trust Properties at Downhill on the shores of Lough Foyle. This splendid estate was laid out in the late 18th century by the Earl Bishop, Frederick Harvey of the Harvey's Bristol Ceam family. The estate includes the ruins of the Bishop's palatial house, gardens and glen. It also holds the Bishop's follie, Mussendem Temple, a famous landmark which was designed as a library. This tour also brings in the mountainous Bishop's Road providing spectacular views of the north west before stopping at the picturesque town of Limavady, where the famous 'Danny Boy' or 'Londonderry Air' originated.
