FULL DAY OPTIONS: Ulster-American Folk Park and Baronscourt Old world, new world, emigrant, immigrant, the Ulster-American Folk explores the many links forged between Ireland and the United States in aseries of entertaining exhibitions including recreated settlements depicting the life style of those times as well as a full size mock-up of an emigrant ship. After lunch this tour also includes a visit to Baronscourt Estate, the Private residence of the Duke and Duchess of Abercorn. In the Abercorn family since 1612, the present house was desigined by George Steuart, a famous Scottish architect of the 17th century. The Duke of Abercorn is directly related to the Royal Family and his wife, the Duchess of Abercorn is a direct descendant of Alexander Pushkin the famous Russian writer. A visit to Baronscourt will include a tour of the residence and gardens and afternoon tea.
